How to use FTP (File Transfer Protocol) to upload/download your files
We recommend FileZilla! It's free, very easy to use and available for all popular platforms: Windows, Linux or MacOS.
Download the package:
For the latest version go to http://filezilla-project.org/download.php?type=client

Installation (for Windows):
Start the package (Run) >> hit "I Agree" button.
In the next screen choose between Anyone who uses this computer (all users) or Only for me then hit Next button.
You'll see this screen:
Check Desktop Icon as well if you want to have a shortcut added to your desktop,
then hit Next.

Choose destination folder. We recommend you to leave it default - C:\Program Files\FileZilla Client and hit Next.
Now hit the Install button, wait for the program to install then click Finish. You just installed FileZilla.
You should have a shortcut on desktop, search for it. If not then hit Windows Start button and look for a group called FileZilla Client (or your custom name if you changed it).
When you start the program it's possible to encounter a screen like this
Nothing wrong, just hit the OK button.
FileZilla is available in many languages. On start, your computer language is automatically selected. If you want to change the language go to
Edit >>Settings
then choose the language. Language change requires restart of program.

If you use www.freewebhostingarea.com as free hosting provider, you get free ftp access.
After registration, check your personal FTP information. Just fill in those details at FileZilla click Quickconnect and voila! You're connected.
If your provider uses other port than default 21 fill in that port number, else leave the box blank for default.

Now drag and drop your files to upload them. It's so easy.
To change a file attribute (chmod), right click on the file then choose File Attributes...
To chmod a file with full permissions 777, type 777 as numeric value then hit ok.
